Grace O’Neil Regan, 86, of Bronxville, NY, died peacefully at home after a long illness, surrounded by her family on Wednesday, February 24, 2010.  Grace is survived by her loving husband of more than 60 years, William Mahon Regan. Grace was born in Akron, OH, the daughter of William F O’Neil and Grace Savage O’Neil.  The youngest child and only daughter, Grace was affectionately known to her five older brothers as “Sis.”  Grace’s father, William O‘Neil, was the founder of The General Tire & Rubber Company.   She graduated with a  degree in mathematics from Manhattanville College. Grace was devoted to her Roman Catholic faith, her family and her friends.  She was a founder and trustee of the W. O’Neil Foundation, a family foundation providing grants to Catholic organizations for international emergency relief for the poor, and for the care of elderly Catholic nuns and priests.  Grace was a Lady of the Holy Sepulchre. Along with her husband, Grace is survived by her eight children, Grace Regan Conway (John Conway) of Loudonville, NY, William Mahon Regan, Jr. (Alice Green) of Bronxville, NY, John O’Neil Regan (Sarabeth Walsh) of Bronxville, NY,  Hugh Regan (Gail Fanelli) of New York, NY, Neil Regan of Bronxville, NY, Jane Regan Considine (Michael Considine) of Bronxville, NY, Ann Regan of Bronxville, and Mary Regan of New York, NY, 20 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter. Calling hours will be held at the family home, 2 Northway, Bronxville, NY between the hours of 2 to 8 PM Friday February 26th. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Joseph's Church, Bronxville on Saturday February 27 at 11AM.
