
Henry J. Margotta “Hank”, lifelong resident of New Rochelle, died peacefully on Tuesday, February 9, 2010. He was 76. Hank was born on July 6, 1933 to the late Ann and Henry Margotta, Sr. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, uncle, coach, and friend. He is survived by his wife Patricia Gerosa Margotta and his three children Alene Kavanagh Morash and husband Brett, Gregory Kavanagh and wife Laura, and Katie Kavanagh. He is also survived by his four grandchildren, Julia and Henry Morash, and Sean Henry and Brendan Kavanagh. He was predeceased by his sister, Barbara Margotta Dolan. Hank was his happiest when he was with his family, but the football field brought him great joy as well. He was a teacher, coach, and the Alumni Director at Iona Prep for many years. Most recently, Hank was a territory representative for Riddell All American. He also worked as a coach and consultant for the Bronxville School district. Visiting hours will be at McGrath’s in Bronxville on Thursday and Friday from 4-7. A mass of Christian burial will be celebrated on Saturday, February 13, at 10 am at Sts. John and Paul Church in Larchmont. There will be a private burial immediately following.
