Di Gianni, Phyllis passed away on March 26, 2010. She was born on March 1, 1924 in the Bronx to Attilio and Carolina Macchi. Phyllis was a woman who possessed elegance and style and an unequaled social charm. Until the birth of her children, Phyllis worked as a dress designer alongside Anne Klein and her dresses were often displayed in the windows of Henri Bendel. She is predeceased by her beloved and devoted husband John as well as by her sister, Diane Costa, and her brother, Attilio Macchi. Phyllis leaves behind her children, John A. Di Gianni, Carrie and Thomas La Sala and her cherished grandchildren, Thomas, Erica and Adam. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in her honor to the A.S.P.C.A. because of her love for the welfare of animals.
